Ancylometes – the project

Aim of this webpage is to make scientific informations on the genus Ancylometes- available to all interested people and enable species identification. We also want to encourage further investigations on the biology and ecology of these beautiful spiders.
You can join the project (on the member page) and support us with informations of any kind: observations, collection data, fotos... Of special interest would be new records of spiders of the genus from South America, with sincere informations on the locality, coordinates, and identification of the species.
But remember that collecting and exporting spiders (and other organisms) is not at all allowed without special permissions in most of the countries. Rules and laws should always be respected.
We will include you in the members list, please send us a photo and some basic informations about you and your interest.
